Party: Socialight

After many years of waiting, the new LED Floodlights for the Taroona Courts will very soon be a reality, with a Council project officer already appointed to oversee the process. It doesn’t stop there with the club also in line for other project funding.
Your committee are doing what they can to minimise the Club’s outlay for these projects by applying for grants, but capital works of this scale don’t come cheap and the Club’s reserves will be considerably diminished at the end of the year.

So it has been decided to hold a special social occasion with a ‘light’ themed trivia focus to celebrate and raise a few dollars for the cause – “SOCIALIGHT!”

We are not all Physicists so to keep things interesting questions will use the word ‘light’ in a very broad sense (not just in the Electromagnetic wave sense as can be seen by the human eye) ie:
questions will include history, music, geography, films, spelling, colour, physical structures, general knowledge etc. Many questions will be multiple choice or true /false.

Cost $10 per head advance payment required payable by cash, cheque or EFT to the
Tennis Club Account.
Cash/Cheque post to: PO Box 32, Warrandyte 3113
EFT to BSB: 633000 A/c: 123235137
Why not get together with others and buy a table of 10 for $100? (Helps out with administration).
Older children are welcome (and may be very useful for some questions).

Bring your own nibbles. Drinks (including light beer) at bar Prices. We are a licensed venue only. Please NO BYO. Family friendly night – there will be some easier questions for older children and no profanity!
We will turn the clubhouse lights on for decoration and may be able to find a candle….
Bookings essential – places limited. If you do nothing else this year (except pay your membership of course) then support this very worthwhile cause. You will go home enlightened!

More info – email [email protected] or call Tony Honeyborne 0400 019 078 (who in a rash moment of weakness, agreed to take this on).
