We are super excited to announce the return of one of our fave dj’s Tim Sweeney!

Since starting his Beats In Space radio show in 1999 Tim has become one of the most influential figures and in demand DJ’s on the scene. Informed by artists such as Detroit’s pioneering radio DJ Electrifying Mojo, Coldcut’s Solid Steel, WBMX and the Hot Mix 5, Tim’s weekly slot on New York’s WNYU has attracted a huge international following and featured the crème de la crème of world DJ talent to guest on his show: Carl Craig, DJ Harvey, Laurent Garnier, Prins Thomas, Todd Terje, Horse Meat Disco, Daniele Baldelli to name but a few.

Alongside his broadcasting career, Tim has been a club DJ since he was 15, playing at events in and around Baltimore and Washington DC, before moving to NYC in 1999. He hooked up with James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy in NYC and interned at their DFA Plantain Music Studios, which led him to contribute a mix for the DFA Compilation Number 2 and the DFA Holiday Mix 2005, as well as being tour DJ for LCD Soundsystem and The Rapture.

Now in huge international demand as a DJ in his own right Tim can be found playing some of the finest clubs across the globe on a regular weekly basis… but always manages to ensure that he’s back in time for his Tuesday night Beats In Space radio show!

Currently celebrating 15 years of Beats in Space we welcome Tim for what’s sure to be a special night indeed!
