With the number of people in favour of trying a change due to the dominance of Abyss Rising and Mermail, some sets and banlists will be cut out from this particular event.
The last legal set for this event will be REDU (August 2012) as opposed to the previous HA07; that is to say that any sets released after August 2012 (such as Abyss Rising and Cosmo Blazer, the Atlantean and Fire King Structure Decks, certain promos, along with both the September 2012 – March 2013 and the March 2013 banlists) will not be usable.
**Please understand that this change will not be adopted as the standard for future cross-banlist events, it’s just something different for this one.**
In the future, we will look at trying different variations again to keep the event fresh and try new things. Above all, thank you to everyone who has provided feedback in regards to these events and thanks to all the people who keep asking about when the next one will be to show that people are still interested in doing them. I think almost everyone who has played in at least one of these events has rather enjoyed something different to the current format.
Everything else will remain the same:
- All decks that start will draw on the first turn and start with a six card hand.
- No Ignition Priority for monsters.
- Only one Field Spell can be active at a time.
- 10 Main Deck proxies and up to 15 Extra Deck proxies.
- Side Deck remains at a maximum of 15 cards.
- Cards that have erratas work as they did in their respective formats (Crush Card Virus, Ring of Destruction, Sinister Serpent, Dark Magician of Chaos, Dark Strike Fighter and so on).
