We're geared up for another Wednesday night fun at I Want My House!!!

Future House, Tech House, G House, House, Chicago House, Jacking House, Deep House, Everything that is... I Want My House.

House music has always brought this sense of intimacy to us as a dancers, music lovers, DJs and producers. House music lovers gather because of that feeling, that intimacy we get with other dancers, our friends and strangers who become friends.

It’s about intimacy.

You can’t be intimate as a DJ if you are playing to a crowd of 40,000 at one time, it just isn’t possible.

Don't get us wrong, festivals are amazing but seeing your favorite house DJs just isn’t the same as the experience of the embrace of sound and sweat on the dance floor.

But what is possible is that this intimacy factor that makes the house music sound a perfect compliment for venues that thrive upon people’s intimacy levels. We pride ourselves on providing this perfect place for people who want a place to relax and have a drink with their friends or take a first date to so they can get to know each-other more.

▲NVS (NIGHT VISION)▲

NVS is a bass and house music DJ/Producer from the great white north. He's also the co-founder of Soundscapes and Night Vision.

NVS is a DJ, producer, expert on pineapples, and a part time stock photography model for photos requiring extremely average-looking men. When he’s not DJing or writing bios about himself, he runs Night Vision, one of Western Canada’s best underground music brands.

NVS got his start in the electronic music world as a record monkey at Calgary’s legendary record store Phonics Sounds. Working there, he developed a love a wide range of electronic music and bought all the best songs before the clientele had a chance to listen to them. He also played a game where he’d try to guess what genre people would buy from their haircut. His first gig was a DJ competition, which he lost. His musical style has developed over the last 10 years but has always retained a keen sense of timing. His sets are quirky and fun, always pushing the party higher with a mixture of new and classic house and bass tunes.

Some of his more fancy-sounding DJ credits include playing with the likes of Bonobo, Justin Martin, Kastle, Max Ulis, DJ SCRATCH, Wax Romeo, Ryan Wells, Shamik, and many more. You can catch him most weekends playing one of Edmonton’s many fine nightclubs.

As a producer, NVS’s songs range from pumping, hook-driven house music, to deep, sexy bass music. His songs have found homes on a number of labels including Miami’s Loveless Records and Canada’s Drama Hands. He also has a forthcoming EP on Night Vision coming out in August.
