The Simmertones are a seasoned nine-piece authentic ska and reggae band from the southwest of the UK who regularly get packed venues and festivals jumping with their exciting and infectious live sound. In 2016 The Simmertones' live shows reach new heights, with prestigious slots at the London International Ska Festival and Madness' House of Fun Weekender. It also saw the release of the poignant & topical single ‘Run For Your Life’, which has picked up regular international airplay and showcases the evolving strength and depth of the bands song writing. The Simmertones’ previous biggest hit to date was a cool cover version of the well-known classic 'Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps' (which contains samples of 'Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps' by Doris Day under licence from Sony Music Entertainment). This was hugely successful for the band, with repeated airplay on BBC radio stations. In particular, Steve Lamacq added the song to his playlist and gave it several airings, including prime time airplay on BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music. Further airplay was attained in the United States and internationally.
