The Fliks are a 9 piece band playing the music that defined the American & UK 60s Pop scene, with an obsession to re-creat the magic and style that captured a generation, from Memphis Atlantic City New °deans and Detroit all the way to the clubs like The Flamingo and The Scene in 1960s Soho. The Fliks may be a new name to some but the band have been performing 60s influenced dance music for years under various pseudonym's and line up's which have featured some of the South's finest musicians and we have played alongside artists like Edwin Starr Gene Washington and James Brown. Now singers Jolene, Emma and Sophie together with the 6 piece band are showcasing that special appeal of the 60's girl group craze by giving a fresh emphasis to both the well known and the not so often played girl group hits of the sixties. The Fliks pay homage to artists like The Shirelles, The Shangri-Las, The Supremes, The Marvelettes., The Velvelettes, The Vendellas, The Exciters, The Ronettes. The Crystals, Ike & Tina Turner, The Flirtations, Lulu, Shirley Ellis, Gloria Jones. Dusty Springfield, Sandie Shaw, Nancy Sinatra & Chris Clark.
