His modesty disguises an incredible songwriting talent, which mixes joy and despair, love and loss in equal measures. Songs such as Broke Down and Breakfast in Hell have become modern American classics and his intense, emotionally charged and frequently funny live shows are legendary. Slaid Cleaves is one of the great contemporary American singer songwriters, and it's a pleasure to be able to welcome him back.
