You will be the first one to know when pictures are uploaded!
We would like to invite you to join us at Peel Croft, the home of Burton Rugby Club, on Saturday 1st April, to a special game of rugby in memory of the beautiful Lou Burns, who sadly passed away, on the 19th May last year, to her fight with cancer.
Lou is the mother of Dan who plays in the U9s and wife to Andy, who is one of the coaches.
BRFC will host an annual fixture in memory of Lou, which will also raise monies for cancer.
The fixture will be held this year, between the U9s v U10s, with a mixed game being played for the memorial trophy.
Lou was and will always be a part of the club and her 'smile' remains with us all, whenever the team plays.
I am sure Andy, Dan and James along with all the family, would love to see you there, to cheer on the teams but most of all, share your memories of Lou and be part of this special day.
There will be drinks and food available on the day, the teams will run out with the first team at the start of their fixture against Sutton Coldfield (KO 15.00 hours) and then after the final whistle, they will play themselves on the croft (KO 16.30 hours).
Please come along and be part of this special day!
There will be a small raffle on the day to help raise some money to support the charity and any donations are greatly appreciated.
If you are unable to make it, but wish to make a donation please contact Steve Smith, Mini Junior Vice Chair
