Main page > The Bassment > Bobby Shew Quartet with John Harmon
Legendary trumpet master Bobby Shew has played professionally for over 60 years. The list of artists he has worked with is truly astounding. Bobby played lead trumpet in the big bands of Tommy Dorsey, Maynard Ferguson, Benny Goodman, Woody Herman, and Buddy Rich. He played and/or recorded with the jazz combos of Carl Fontana, Art Pepper, Bud Shank, and Horace Silver. He played lead trumpet in the touring shows of Steve Allen, Paul Anka, Tom Jones, Elvis Presley, and Barbra Streisand. Bobby is joined by American jazz pianist John Harmon, Saskatoon’s Nevin Buehler (bass), and Regina’s Brent Jefferson (drums). Proceeds from this show will go towards the design, construction, and installation of our new sign on Fourth Avenue.
