A Cool Yule Jazz Jam will be held December 21, 2016 at How Art Thou Jazz Cafe. The event is being produced by Dennis Fassuliotis, founder of the Charleston Jazz Club and David Berger, owner of How Art Thou.
Local jazz legends Oscar Rivers Jr, George Kenny and Paul Gelpi will anchor the event of all Christmas music and invite other musicians to come join the fun and sit in for this unique holiday jazz jam.
The event will benefit Skipp "Pops" Pearson and the Pearson Foundation. Skipp is South Carolina's Ambassador of Jazz and along with Loretta Holloway will receive South Carolina's highest civilian award, the Order of the Palmetto, in mid January.
Admission is free but a donation to the Pearson Foundation will be greatly appreciated.
