Nitsan Bernstein is “Mirela”, a gypsy with Jewish ancestors, who inspires to become a world famous diva. Her appetite for uncircumcised men, and exotic beverages inspire her song writing.

Julie Basandilove, is” Violeta”, a tough looking cookie, when she plays the Oud, a gentle soul is uncovered. She spent 6 years in the Caucasian prison, charged with pistachio theft, where she wrote most of her painful moving songs.

Malte Bogner is “Chiprian” . Once a renowned jazz pianist known in Germany and the Netherlands, he lost it all when he began to drink. His life took an unexpected turn when one day he encountered Violeta on the train, fell in love with gypsy music and took up the accordion.

Itai Reznik, is “Leno”. After years of loafing around in his home country, he moved to the Savannah in Africa where he learned how to play the drums. Being the only white man around he was prosecuted and fled to free and tolerate Berlin. He is charismatic and charming but stay clear if he is in a bad temper!

Hugo Reydet, is “Valentin”. Originally from France. He invented the perfume "hugo bass", made a fortune with it, but then got mixed up with a girl from the royal court and he fled his country. A traveling group of gypsies gave him shelter where he reunited with his first love- the double bass.
