Approaching traditional jazz with an open-mind and with an emphasis on quality and a genuine respect for the tradition, the Brownfield Byrne Hot Six hope to keep this art form alive and intact well into the future. The 'Hot Six' performs music by the likes of Louis Armstrong, Bix Biederbeck, Fats Waller, early Duke Ellington and the John Kirby sextet. The band has now been together since January 2012 and after tentative beginnings have now developed a good band sound which is original whilst still Inspired by the swing era stylists of the late 1930's and early 1940’.
